Technical Description: Blanc fixe, BaSO4,Barium Sulphate, Barium Sulfate Precipitate Chemical, Blanc Fixe(BaSO4),synthetic barium sulfate.
Appearance: White powder
CAS Registry NO.: 7727-43-7
Precipitated Barium Sulfate is a high brightness, low oil absorption, inert extender that is well suited for a variety of application including powder coatings, thermoplastics, elastomers, fiber, paper, ink and pigment preparations.
Precipitated Barium Sulfate has a Mohs hardness of 3 and is very low in abrasion. It exhibits a continuous, high diffuse reflectance of light, not only in the visible range, but also far into the UV and IR ranges. It is the ideal extender of colored systems. In coatings, Precipitated Barium Sulfate is recommended in high gloss, acid-resistant formulations.
Precipitated Barium Sulfate is inert, resistant to light and weathering, and insoluble in water, acids, alkali and organic media.

PBS-0.7N is coated grade with surface treatment , has common properties of the ordinary BaSO4, they have finer powder appearance. The primary particle has a lesser average diameter and is distributed narrower scope. The particle, after surface treatment, has greatly improved the flow, the dispersion of powder and the powder’s compatibility with applied surface.
Application: Used in powder coat industry, and the barium sulfate embodies characteristics such as narrow distribution of particle diameter, thin painting membrane, even surface, and good light reflection, etc.
Used in industries such as dye, printing ink, rubber, storage battery, and plastic etc. They can efficiently enhance mechanical properties of project plastic, top-grade electricity insulation plastic and rubber products; they show good performance of resisting radiation.
Packing: In 25kg,50kg or 1000kg woven bags with plastic liner inside, or as per buyer’s option.
